sleepercorty Posted October 21, 2010 Author Report Posted October 21, 2010 ahhhh boosted falcon boy i see now why you know what your doing :) how long has the motor lasted though?? couple of years so far but i suppose that doesnt count, cause surely you couldnt run more than 10 passes without bending a rod Quote
sleepercorty Posted October 21, 2010 Author Report Posted October 21, 2010 yeah i heard little plans a while back for that thing but at that stage you didnt want to molester it so I'm guessing you caved in lol, yes i may have caved in, its a long term project but thinking either 1fzfe or 2jz Quote
SLW42 Posted October 21, 2010 Report Posted October 21, 2010 hence the reason spool make rods for e series motors hahaha Quote
MR KE30 Posted October 21, 2010 Report Posted October 21, 2010 yes i may have caved in, its a long term project but thinking either 1fzfe or 2jz that's funny there the combos mentioned too lol Quote
CA-ROLLA Posted October 21, 2010 Report Posted October 21, 2010 i have another project on the go that will make both of these look soft but seeing as there are to many people on here that know everything wont bother sharing it. so i guess your trying to say i think i know everything? i never said that and i did say the 500 was possible but pushing a full weight cortina, to the 9 was gonna be the difficult part. And once again if I'm wrong and if it runs a 9 i will gladly say i was wrong. As for fritzz's el i do know of this car as i have seen it on the boosted forums before, so yeah i guess i have seen a standard 4l make 630hp. yeah u can run a radials to high mph and quick ets, i think th fastest radial car in the world does 6.80's, but most of these cars have a rear end setups and 1/2 chassis' even 3/4' to help cope with lose of traction, even the corolla runs a little 2 link setup. the other thing is if u watch a lot of these radial tyred cars leave the line, the use very little to no boost and low rpm other wise they go up in smoke or in the case of a car with no wheelie bars they stand up on the bumper. although i don't think traction is going to be a problem for you. i would really love to see u suceed and push this thing to 9, and u could do it. but i think its gonna take lots of r+d and less wieght best of luck sir :y: Quote
SLW42 Posted October 21, 2010 Report Posted October 21, 2010 i wasn't trying to say i know everything man i was simply sayin e series bottomends don't like to much power :) and matt headgaskets do more damage than you think Quote
Trev Posted October 21, 2010 Report Posted October 21, 2010 What 60ft does the 630hp falcon do? Quote

MR KE30 Posted October 21, 2010 Report Posted October 21, 2010 hey just curious were and how much you paying for e85 ?? if it doesn't get here by the weekend i will be able to help out give you a loan of some if your super keen on running this weekend Quote
sleepercorty Posted October 21, 2010 Author Report Posted October 21, 2010 (edited) not sure where its from my mates picking up 3 drums, but just under $2.50 a litre i think. will be good when it comes to the pump in qld should only be around $1. don't think i will make it to track this weekend as I'm only doing injectors tonight so maybe next week. CA-ROLLA Posted October 21, 2010 Report Posted October 21, 2010 there is a caltex over near wellington point that has it on pump already, it was about 1.05 a litre when we last got some Quote
SLW42 Posted October 22, 2010 Report Posted October 22, 2010 yeah there's e85 on pump along mt gravatt capalaba road after the gateway highway it's a caltex servo :D Quote
sleepercorty Posted October 22, 2010 Author Report Posted October 22, 2010 ok thanks guys found one at churchill that sells it, which is only about 5 minutes from willowbank. its only about $1 a litre, doesnt have the additives like the other stuff i was going to get but I'm cheap so will just get that. i have two empty 44 gallon drums so will probably fill them both. Trev Posted October 22, 2010 Report Posted October 22, 2010 It is e-flex which is different to drum E85. Quote
