My 82 ke70 currently has 655202k's on the clock on the original engine.

That means its driven the equivalent of 16.34 times around the earth.

Or to the moon and 3/4's of the way back!

I personally think this is a testamant to the 4k-c as it's still running strong.

I know I said no taxi's but feel free to chuck them up too, they just don't count :jamie:

Figure out some weird distance's its travelled!

Nice man. My KE70 has done 380000 and I thought that was a bit...would be happy for it to do 650000! Yours showing any signs of letting up?

Seems to still be going strong. Need to recon the carbie and do the timing but still gets me from A to B. Blows no smoke. Just took it for rwc and all it needed enginewise was the main seal.

Bought my brother a 1986 twin cab 4WD Navara last year. One owner, washed everyweek with no rust at all.

407,000 on the clock with the original motor. 2.4 litre orginal style datsun 1600 motor with crossflow head. Used about a litre of oil a week but just kept going. Ended up putting a 2nd hand engine in it and oh the power increase. Didn't realise it could actually accelerate. oil consumption is now nil!

Dear lord... Where did you find a Navara with no rust... The moon? I thought corrosion was pre-installed at the factory on those things..

My ke55 is in its second motor, with 370000, the original owner would do trips from canberra to melbourne weekly when she was younger sitting on 130km/h with a 4speed!

No wonder the original motor cried too much after 19 years (she was rebuilt 11 years ago.) :jamie:

the parentals Camira (yes omg!) has 430000 on the clock. Still runs last time I checked, but havent driven it for a while.

Wins the award for most reliable Camira on the planet, only ever broke twice, both times the cam belt, both 20m from home!

You should sell it back to Holden... I'm sure they'd be interested in tearing it down to find out what went wrong...

GM CEO: Ok so you PROMISE these things are going to crap out after 100 thou so we make a fortune on selling parts yeah?

Opel engineer: Ya ya.. Ve have built in ze automatic self destruct function und filled the panels viz rock salt.

GM CEO: Awesome. Finally we have a car that makes the Commodore look good.

Opel engineer: Lets not get ahead of ourselves, shall ve?

GM CEO: Fair enough. BTW, sell all the designs to Daewoo when you're done... That way we can badge engineer their shitboxes for a couple of decades and blame them for the horrendous build quality.

Hahahahah :jamie:

so true.

Dad just changed the original engine out of his Landcruiser Ute 2 years ago for a new crate motor. When it came out it was 930000 klms. I'm not joking. In that time the mighty 1HZ saw 2 gearboxes and a diff reco. The engine outlived 2 instrument clusters. It may well be the best cared for example of this model you will find, despite the klms. It wasnt using much oil, just lost a lot of power.

Oh, forgot to mention, it was always lugging at least big steel tray with extra spare wheels, and all of the electricians tools dad needs. Maybe 1/3 of the time it was towing a big, heavy duty double sprung single axle trailer and travelling on the roughest roads in QLD. Oh what a feeling...

my parents 04 Camry has about 260xxx and only uses a bit of oil.

Needs a new clutch though its slipping like no tomorrow... quite and expensive job, ah nothing like doing a clutch on a fwd car and not being able to take the gearbox out.
