Changing 4 To 5 Stud On A Ke30 And 7afe Questions

Hay guys I'm looking into getting my ke30 4 stud to get converted to a commodore 5 stud whats the deal with spacers if i wanted to convert it would it be able just to use spacers and where would i get them and ive tried the search feature because I'm sure this has been covered before but it doesnt seem to work.

 

and i was thinking about going the 7afe way and ive seen pictures of a silvertop head on one is it possible?

Does noone know how to do the 5 stud swap without changing the diff and front strutts

There's no easy commo 5 stud swap hey, will be custom all the way. You can run MS65 crown 5 stud front hubs on XT corona struts, but they're ford pattern. Apart from that I've heard of people running trailer hubs to run disc over hub brake wise too, they match the corona hubs as well. Spacers are a bit dodgy, widens the track a little bit, add corona LCA's and its getting way past the legal width. 7A blocks can take the GE head, make sure its an AE101 or later 7AFE or the gudgeon pin won't match the piston of the 20V. Its not as simple as just bolting on the head, unless you want to build a cheap and weak turbo setup.

cool thanks for the info mate about the commodore pattern on the fronts I'm pretty sure ive heard of commodore struts on a 30 or 55 do you have any idea what car or thread thats in. How would the trailer hub thing work on the rear?

theres hub stud pattern changers, google 114.3 to (what ever commo is) ive seen em before.

 

i was looking to go 114.3 to 100 due to the fact easier to find 15 inchers

XT130 corona struts, VB-VP hub/rotors and hilux calipers will convert the stud pattern and upgrade the brakes.

 

I wouldnt go down the 4 to 5 stud converter idea.

 

I have the hubs and rotors to do this conversion. PM me if you go down this route.
