19914afc Posted March 9, 2010 Report Posted March 9, 2010 (edited) Hey does anyone know that size are the ke20 strut top bolt size because I have a KP starlet camber tops and would like to know if I can use them on the coil over setup I am going to use, the KP tops are a 100mm equilateral triangle. Also would like to know if there is a way to convert a ke20 Borg Warner diff to 4x114.3 stud pattern. I know with the jap diffs you can shorten some ke30 axles but is it the same with the Borg Warner ones? Edited March 9, 2010 by 19914afc Quote
LukeAE71 Posted March 9, 2010 Report Posted March 9, 2010 With the KE20 strut tops I measured the bolt spacing as I was getting a quote on some strut tops. I got 90mm and 95mm as my two measurements between the bolt holes. I wasn't very precise but nevertheless my measurements might help some But I guess if you are looking to fit 100mm you could be in some trouble. :D Quote
parrot Posted March 9, 2010 Report Posted March 9, 2010 With regards to cambertops, this was the response from Emp? on Toymods Originally Posted by parrot Emp? 19914afc Posted March 9, 2010 Author Report Posted March 9, 2010 (edited) so does anyone know for sure what the ke20 pattern is? Edited March 9, 2010 by 19914afc Quote
LukeAE71 Posted March 9, 2010 Report Posted March 9, 2010 *sigh* I'll go out and measure mine again Do you want from middle of bolt hole to middle of bolt hole? :D Quote
19914afc Posted March 9, 2010 Author Report Posted March 9, 2010 yes please if you could measure them all to see if they are a equilateral triangle. Quote
LukeAE71 Posted March 9, 2010 Report Posted March 9, 2010 I got 95mm from middle of bolt hole to middle of bolt hole all round. Mind you I did use a tape measure so could be a little out. I did get the same measurement all around though repeated :D Quote
19914afc Posted March 9, 2010 Author Report Posted March 9, 2010 also what about the diff cause I'm going to be running ae86 struts+jdm brakes so ill need to convert the rear stud pattern to 4x114.3. Quote
KEhendo Posted March 9, 2010 Report Posted March 9, 2010 what kind of engine would you be wanting in it? if it's anything more than a warm k then forget the borgy. have a look at finding the rear diff out of one of those 4wd corolla wagon things (have forgotten the chassis code). apparently the rear diff is the thinnest T series diff that toyota make. i'd say get one of those and put custom mounts on it. that way it won't snap at the slightest whiff of power and you can get an lsd for it if you wanted. just my 2c Quote
19914afc Posted March 10, 2010 Author Report Posted March 10, 2010 all ill be using is a worked 5k, I think the 4wd corollas where a tercel? not too sure but yes apparantly they use the same T series diff as a ae86? Quote
coln72 Posted March 10, 2010 Report Posted March 10, 2010 dunno bout changing the diff but it is your call. Doubt if you would break a borgy behind a warm 5k - unless you are an absolute nuff nuff. Ran a worked 5k (big compression/carbs/exhaust turning 225/13's) in front of a borgy for years with no issues. I think if you should grab some later borgy axles and see if they fit. I've got a feling that the same process applies to the borgy diff - shorten a few mm and bang them in Quote
19914afc Posted March 10, 2010 Author Report Posted March 10, 2010 well thats all I wanted to do maybe when I'm off my P's might go 3t/2g hybrid then maybe get a better diff. If anyone has some ke30 (or similar) BW axles let me know. Quote
