DearmanKE Posted April 5, 2010 Report Posted April 5, 2010 good work gettin them off, they can be bloody tough if theyve never been touched, i ended up pulling my diff out with tailshaft still atattched coz i coudlnt get em and then still couldnt get them when it was out useing long spanners and pipe, ended up snappin the bolts lol Quote
67Rolla-Ken Posted April 5, 2010 Report Posted April 5, 2010 DeWalt cordless impact driver for the win  I have one at work, use it on everything. Such a handy tool, bit pricey (I think it was just under $400) but well worth the investment. Quote
Mitch-12 Posted April 5, 2010 Report Posted April 5, 2010 when you put your bolts back in go to the trouble of going and buying some anti seize we use it on our v8 supercar its the best stuff in the world makes life so much easyer you crack it then wind it off with your fingers Quote
TE278U Posted April 5, 2010 Report Posted April 5, 2010 another tip is to turn the nut side, not the bolt side. The bolt has all the added friction of the joint on it's length, the nut doesn't. and vice versa for accurate tensioning of joints too. -Dave Quote
