Tiger Posted July 18, 2005 Report Posted July 18, 2005 Suicide more like it.... I'd get something to done to them brakes to make sure you actually stop... not have fun TRYING to stop. However... this does sound like an interesting project... have you got pics of the car at present? Quote
kangaroosa Posted July 18, 2005 Report Posted July 18, 2005 THE ULTIMATE SLEEPER KE20 BURNOUT MACHINE Is this strictly a Burnout Car or is it Street registered? I don't think you would need to bother with a brake upgrade if its strictly for "Burnout Shows" at easternats, summernats etc. Just fit a line locker to isolate the rear brakes and then all you need is minimal front brake input to put on a nice show. I guess you have worked all that out anyway. If its going to be Street Registered, good luck finding and Engineer to approve that. :( Sounds like a mean and original combo though. :D Quote
ScottKE1X Posted July 18, 2005 Report Posted July 18, 2005 ahhh... but we adelaideians don't need engineering certificates to road register cars :( oh yeah, be awesome fun, great buy considering the diff you got in it too... it just wouldnt be yours if it didnt have the whitewalls and venetian now would it? scott. 5k_ke20 Posted July 18, 2005 Report Posted July 18, 2005 so your still going along with it???? if i can help at all let us know. can't wait to see this thing pull a skid. cheers harley Quote
PeanutBoi78 Posted July 18, 2005 Report Posted July 18, 2005 I say keep the 13inch stockys on it, cos people will shit themselves when u pull up beside them at the lights and blow them away. I can see it now pulling up beside commodores and making them look stupid. Put 205/65/13 on the stock rims I say it would look phat. :) Quote
ROLLN'03 Posted July 18, 2005 Report Posted July 18, 2005 HEHEHEHE NIIIIIIICE! can't wait, need some ..... :) Quote
Nitephyre Posted July 18, 2005 Report Posted July 18, 2005 ahh yes, the land of no roadworthies... but damn that sounds cool.. i'm interested in engine bay shots.. as the crossflows are a long engine.. i had an XC with one.. g'luck Quote
Tiger Posted July 19, 2005 Report Posted July 19, 2005 Oi!!! I still own a Commodore! Ease up!!! :) Nah.... I'll be eating commos and falcons myself once mine is done :D And keep everything external STOCK.. 13" wheels and even the 1" tip! hahaha Quote
PMP020 Posted July 19, 2005 Author Report Posted July 19, 2005 hahah shit cheers for all the interest guys dint relaise id have so much replys. wel with the brakes I'm just goin to put ke70 front brakes on it so i got 114.3PCD all round. and the rear lines mite be connected wen i take it on the road. the car is strictly a burnout car BUT will be road registered as 3K motor. just so i can say itsa road registered BURNOUT MACHINE. :) hopefully it will be doin its 1st burnout since being in my possession this wkend. ill keep ya posted n that. maybe some vidz I'm now after some 13x6/7" 114.3PCD stockys if anyone can help me out would be much appriciated. go the walls n venetian its the only way. heres a couple engine pics when i bought it ill get more pix this wkend cheers scott Quote
Tiger Posted July 19, 2005 Report Posted July 19, 2005 YIKES!!! that looks SOOOOO tight fit in there it ain't funny! how far off is the firewall from the engine? 2 mm??? Quote
PMP020 Posted July 19, 2005 Author Report Posted July 19, 2005 hahahahahaha FIREWALL ? whats that. this is the size of the tunnel which gives u some idea how much firewall is missing. no. 6 cyl is pretty much where the firewall used 2 be. but theres heaps of room in the bay i could go either way large turbo? or large charger? ill prolly stik with EFI and supercharger for betta low down torque. keep the questions and feedback coming peeps. cheers scott Quote
Super Jamie Posted July 20, 2005 Report Posted July 20, 2005 that's alot of fun for 300 bucks, no matter what it's in :) don't tell me you're driving this thing round? that would be so amusing Quote
PMP020 Posted July 20, 2005 Author Report Posted July 20, 2005 ill take it for a spin this wkend but thatll be the only time on the road except for roadtests. grims once i got some spare cash it will be injected and superchaged :) then itll be mental and wont go anywhere near the road. also before this happens ill be puttin ke70 front brakes on it and be riding 16" wheels for a lil bit of traction. cheers scott Quote
