cinky Posted March 3, 2010 Report Posted March 3, 2010 (edited) decided to start pinky the to day and noticed that the was a fuel leak near No. 4 injector. the black rings that are on top the injector and sit against the fuel rail does it matter if the r broken or cracked? as they are like it but they others don't seem to leak. it seemed as though it was more of a mist or spray than actually dripping hence why i thought injector due to pressure. any other suggestions? ke70dave Posted March 8, 2010 Report Posted March 8, 2010 replace all the rubber seals on the injectors. if they are cracked or broken they wont seal and your fuel will go everywhere, like you are experiencing. i think repco do seal kits for them. failing that ring up one of those mobile injector service guys they will have them. drc_ke20 Posted March 9, 2010 Report Posted March 9, 2010 when you install them back use vaso around the seals and o`rings Quote
cinky Posted March 17, 2010 Author Report Posted March 17, 2010 turned out to be a perished return hose and the clamp had cut into it. but did follow the advise you guys gave and replaced the rings despite not leaking as prevention is better than a cure and also better than a fuel fire Quote
