Slow Wipers?

I have really slow wipers. Low speed is about as fast as a stoned turtle and Hi speed is about what low speed should be running. What could it be and how can i fix it?

I had a similar problem on my KE30, turns out the splines on the wiper arms and the motor were worn and slipping.

Could be the motor itself is shagged. Wipers were slower than a wet long weekend on the KE55, got another motor from the wreckers and the difference was like night and day.

Also replace wiper relay.

 

Old relays can have trouble passing current... Like an old man with prostate trouble :blinks:

does it help if you turn other items off?? :blinks:

If your charge was that poor, you'd have trouble doing anything as soon as the headlights come on! Like firing the coil!

 

Relay is a good point though, I might try that first one mine before I muck about with the motor!

Also the load on the motor could be an issue, have the linkages rusted up and are going to cease up?

I'll look at all your options and hopefully this wont be an issue for much longer. The car is apart ATM but when its together (this weekend hopefully) I'll get right onto it :lolcry:
