Andy43 Posted March 1, 2010 Report Posted March 1, 2010 Hi Has anybody installed a 24 mm venturi insert in to the primary of a Ke30 carby ? How did you remove and reinstall the accelerator pump discharge nozzle ? Was there much performance gain ? and is 24mm the largest venturi insert I can get ? Cheers Andy Quote
Taz_Rx Posted March 1, 2010 Report Posted March 1, 2010 Pretty sure the accerator pump nozzle just pushes in on an o-ring, well thats how webers are anyway. Give it little wobble, if it moves around a little then it'll be an o-ring. :hmm: Can't help much with the other Q's,..... wouldn't waste my time with a stock carb!! :y: ..... I realise you HAVE to. sam k Posted March 1, 2010 Report Posted March 1, 2010 yeah with the primary there is a little jet bit sticking out punch that out and the venturi will come out. Then just do the reverse to get it in. yep do it. doing the primary will make it run pretty shit but it does improve performance. make sure you do the secondary aswell though as that made the most noticeble gain. I used a lathe to make mine bigger but you still got to make sure you keep that little ridge inside the venturi, I think its at the top. drill out your jets if you haven't to match the increased venturi size.
