13BT_KE20 Posted March 23, 2010 Report Posted March 23, 2010 sounds like your just a bit impatient.....want the car done asap haha My car has been on the road for about 18months, through that time i would say i was slowly but containly "upgrading" it which ment that its probably off the road than it is on. So i understand that you want it all done at once, which means collecting parts=$$$ and time. It took me just over 8 months to build my car initially, that was collecting parts and working the car atleast 2-3 day (about 20hrs a wk). So it does take time and money, i find the more money i have to spent on the car at that point in time considerably effects my motivation for the "POS" haha you don't wanna know what my cars cost me to date, its soon to be considerably more PATIENCE MATE! don't sell it Quote

LukeAE71 Posted September 1, 2010 Author Report Posted September 1, 2010 So..... progress has been very slow. Lots of things happening on the personal front so hasn't been much time for the old girl. I bought some TE27 flares and a fat front lip for her tonight!!!!! :hmm: I hope to have the car completed by All Japan Day 2011 - whatever date it is going to be  Quote
Raven Posted September 1, 2010 Report Posted September 1, 2010 Hope you're happy with the flares and lip :hmm: I look forward to seeing it all bolted up  Quote
nickyboy Posted September 2, 2010 Report Posted September 2, 2010 was waiting for something to happen to this! :hmm: Quote
LukeAE71 Posted September 12, 2010 Author Report Posted September 12, 2010 So my daily died in spectacular fashion late last week which means I need a new one. I decided it was quicker and easier to get this thing on the road - not to mention more exciting!!! Over the weekend I have done the following: - ripped out old 3K and Toyoglide - Installed new rebuilt 3K and 5 Speed - Installed pedal box, etc It runs, just waiting on my radiator to come back from being recored and then get my exhaust fixed and its rego time!!! Then a big wash and floss and probably just lower it with some whitewalls for the moment since it will be doing daily duties. I learnt a few things while doing the manual conversion which I always thought didn't work. 1. My starter motor from my auto 3K works on my manual box. 2. My auto tailshaft fitted straight up to the back of the K50 3. My auto crossmember bolted straight up to the KE70 gearbox mount with just needing to redrill the holes a bit further apart. Everything lined up on the body in the factory holes. 4. KE30 accelerator cable is a good fit with a bit of modification and works with the later carby. Thanks to Nickyboy and his Dad for helping me with the timing - turns out the dizzy was 180 degrees out. I'm excited Quote
