67Rolla-Ken Posted February 25, 2010 Report Posted February 25, 2010 Doughnuts on a forklift... you bet! More fun to wedge the tines against an immovable object and smoke it up... not that I ever do that  Quote

More fun to wedge the tines against an immovable object and smoke it up... not that I ever do that  What do you reckon you could do with a Manitou 4x4 Telehandler... We're going to need one to transfer pallets off the supply barge. Quote
67Rolla-Ken Posted February 25, 2010 Report Posted February 25, 2010 Yup, used one before. Very different beast to the normal fork, lots more toys (levers). Could have a contest to see how far we can throw the pallets using the Manitou  Quote
love ke70 Posted February 25, 2010 Report Posted February 25, 2010 lol, do you know how much those fork tyres? apparently theyre not cheap! Quote
7shades Posted February 25, 2010 Report Posted February 25, 2010 We use one on the island up here. Barge lands right on the beach and drops the ramp, down we go with the Manitou. We have ample supplies of POR-15  Quote
JiP Posted February 25, 2010 Author Report Posted February 25, 2010 Oh I should have taken a pic of the skid marks I saw at work today. I'm sure they'll be there tomorrow so I'll take a pic. They are really dark and well done lOl. Quote

B.L.Z.BUB Posted February 26, 2010 Report Posted February 26, 2010 I worked at an ice cream factory and we could drift the fork lifts around the freezer. Electric ones with one drive wheel. About 5-10 mm of ice on the floor at times. You'd have to thrash them backwards though or you'd impale all the stock. Worst throttle response and handling but when the boss is away.... Quote

We must keep the blood pure. Sorry Tory, Uncle Shadey (our slightly eccentric spiritual leader) has spoken. Quote
