Fuel Problem

my ke 70 has a smal problem with it when u leave it sitting for a bit it wont start and seems to not be geting any fuel just woundring if any 1 else has had this problem

try ooking at ur fuel pump and lines from and to the petrol tank

 

or ur carby

If its hot weather when it happens its vapour lock.

nar carbi has been reconditioned yeah i think i no for sure its a fuel problem and yeah it sounds to me like the fuel is running straight past the fuel pump and back in to the take cause it only does it what the engine is on a up hill slope parked for more then a hour

sounds like vapor lock to me, does it start well after you have left it for a loonnnnggg time (ie over night)?

 

if it doesn't start after not driving it for ~20mins, then it can be heat soaking and causing vapor lock. dunno what you can do about that. its kinda a "flaw" with mechanical fuel pumps.

 

vapor lock is an interesting phenomenon. I'm pretty sure i was getting vapor lock at my high pressure pump inlet...

nar man its depends on where it is parked if its on a hill with the motor facing down hill then yeah it starts easy but if its on a slope with the motor facing up then yeah it wont start
