Bamboo Posted July 29, 2011 Author Report Posted July 29, 2011 Centre road wreckers has come through again. I've scored a set of genuine bumper over riders and Honda mud flaps. Painting is finished and assembly has started. The goal is the next donuts cruise. I challenge any k powered 'rolla! Quote

Nice score man! :y: You're kicking my ass with the painting  How about an A powered 'rolla? Quote
Bamboo Posted July 30, 2011 Author Report Posted July 30, 2011 Nah, I reckon you A boys have me....just  things are happening in the rear. Even though it isn't "hondamatic" any more I thought I'd keep the badge. Manuals just have two rubber plugs where the badge holes are. And it looks more granny Quote
Ben-89 Posted July 30, 2011 Report Posted July 30, 2011 Looks great so far, for a sec I thought those wide mudflaps were the tyres! Keep it up :y: Quote
Bamboo Posted July 31, 2011 Author Report Posted July 31, 2011 (edited) I was under the bonnet of the '73 silver wreck today grabbing a few things. '73 civics are pretty rare things, a bit like the first ke10s. My turquoise beast is a '74. Until I saw the silver one I always assumed the civic didn't make it here until '74. I noted today that the stickers under the bonnet were different. There is an extra one near the radiator. Luckily the glue is so dry it just peeled off. So I glued it to mine. On closer inspection I realised why this sticker only came out on the '73. Check the Japlish! Edited July 31, 2011 by Bamboo Quote
dfunkt Posted August 1, 2011 Report Posted August 1, 2011 (edited) eye-spy-with-my-little-I, something that has four leaves :D oh, and love the twin cooling, rad on one side and engine copping direct air through the other Edited August 1, 2011 by dfunkt Quote
Mason. Posted August 1, 2011 Report Posted August 1, 2011 (edited) I was looking at this picture confused as hell for about 5 minutes. I seriously thought you were running massive fatties and huge camber on the back, turns it it was the mud flaps  Edited August 1, 2011 by Mason. Quote
Bamboo Posted August 6, 2011 Author Report Posted August 6, 2011 Another weekend in the shed. I went JDM with the front indicators. Cleans up the front nicely. Just gotta put the interior in and off we go. Needs a cut, but it's been so cold the paint isn't hard enough yet! Quote
TE278U Posted August 6, 2011 Report Posted August 6, 2011 keen to have a look at this tomorrow. looking good. Quote
Bamboo Posted August 13, 2011 Author Report Posted August 13, 2011 Not finished, but getting there. Plenty of faults I can pick on. I can't cut the paint until it hardens up. Still ok from a far, but far from ok!! I'm having fun buzzing around in it again, and it looks a damn sight better than before. the 13's give a heap more traction, all the better for ripping CVs apart. Quote
silverra23 Posted August 14, 2011 Report Posted August 14, 2011 Looks awesome. What are the headlights you have used? Quote

Bamboo Posted August 28, 2011 Author Report Posted August 28, 2011 Spring has almost sprung. The idea was always to spend the shitty winter fixing the civic so I could enjoy it. Melbourne is starting to feel normal again so I took Mrs Bamboo and the fur kids out for a Sunday drive to a park in the hills. Quote
