ill let it mellow out till it becomes the colour and consistency that i like then ill chuck a clear coat ontop and see how it goes

 

nah normal colourd water just rolls of the guard :)

just go to olarenshaws or jeffersons on mcintyre rd and pick up 250mls of acrylic and give it a hit then clear it they will be able to color match it

 

make the thing look the goods again :-}

You're going to melt and wreck your chrome bar with those tips! and your car will constantly have black shit all over the back. Thumbs down from me

+1 for the carbon coat over everything. My KE30 had a straight out tip directly under the bumper. Paint on the rear LH Corner was always darker because of it.

I'd be surprised if the bar melted...

Happened to my brothers ke55, melted the chrome plating and started rusting the bar within a couple of months.
