lanceishere Posted February 8, 2010 Report Posted February 8, 2010 bought some pretty mad dragways last week, 13x6 about +5 offset 4x114.3 pcd. they fit PERFECTLY under my stock guards, and i love them, but they use nuts that go back into the wheel along the sud bolt (don't even know what they're called). standard wheel nuts are ok for test-fitting, but there's only about 5-10mm of thread in the standard/taper wheel nuts, they're a bit of a pain to put on, and i don't know where to start looking for replacement ones... any help? :) so basically: - what kind of nuts do i need? (what are they called?) - where can i get them? - what size do i need? (car is a 1983 flat-front ke70 if that's any help) thanks guys  Quote
coln72 Posted February 8, 2010 Report Posted February 8, 2010 Think they are called parallel shank nuts. You will need washers to go with them as well. Don't know what size you need but any decent wheel shop should be able to source them for you. Got mine from a second hand wheel place in Ballarat Vic, but I guess that is a little out of the way..... Quote
tojo2 Posted February 8, 2010 Report Posted February 8, 2010 Have seen "straight shank lug nut" used for them. Thread will be 12x1.5mm but you will need to measure the diameter iof hole in your wheel as they come in different sizes Quote
BReNt Posted February 8, 2010 Report Posted February 8, 2010 Just go into a wheel shop and ask for some mag wheel nuts to suit your car. Quote
jono1986 Posted February 9, 2010 Report Posted February 9, 2010 Got the same wheels, and had to get the same nuts, the one with about 20mm of metal before the nut. When you go to the wheel place makesure they give you the washers aswell, otherwise that metal bit will be too long and hit the hub and not tighten the wheel on. Quote
