ke70dave Posted February 22, 2011 Report Posted February 22, 2011 very nice car mate, really like it. ive always been a fan of the rotor, must go alright in the little corolla. also good to see you have stuck with the project for such a long time too! even through the unfortunate events. Quote
muv-12a Posted February 24, 2011 Author Report Posted February 24, 2011 only just checked your car out and I have to say I'm loving it =] I am torn between sooo many engines for a conversion now... I keep tossing up between rotary, 4agze, sr20det, I look at al the pros and cons of each engine, I just can't make up my mind. However I have always been a rotary fan over all other engines, so maybe this is the one I will ultimately go for... Who knows Thanks mate, Yeah ive always been a rotor fan as well, but my first car was a KE25 so i guess i got the best of both worlds! Plenty of pros and cons for any engine but if you love the rotor, don't get anything else cos you'll regret it! I did and i wasted a lot of money!! Quote
muv-12a Posted February 24, 2011 Author Report Posted February 24, 2011 This car is neat as! I easpecially like the front strut brace that goes around the air cleaner element as I've seen a few where clearance has been a problem :-( Keep up the good work & keep hounding the missus to let you do stuff! Thanks for the comments! Personally i hate the way i did the strut brace!! id like to fabricate a new one that mounts to both the firewall and the top radiator support - one day! hahaha yeah the best way to deal with the missus is buy the parts first, then explain myself!! muv-12a Posted April 18, 2011 Author Report Posted April 18, 2011 very nice is the car engineered? Ifso can I have a contact for your engineer? cheers Thanks mate - it was engineered/registered up until a few years ago. I had it engineered with Consulmotive in Sydney; http://www.consulmotive.com.au/ I doubt i will register it again though cos i don't drive it enough plus noisy and attracts the wrong attention!! I'll just keep it as a track car. Quote

muv-12a Posted July 10, 2011 Author Report Posted July 10, 2011 Small Update; Got my rear suspension sorted out by Nick at Racetige in Taren Point. Reset leaf springs with reversed main leaf and VT Commodore Pedders Shocks. Also got some GT teardrop mirrors from eBay. Quick pic from the recent Renew vs SAU Round 2 at Wakefield - had a shocker but first time out in 3 years so very rusty! Quote

muv-12a Posted July 12, 2011 Author Report Posted July 12, 2011 I had no choice but to get a custom swaybar fabricated to clear the Mazda sump. Give Don or Greg Selby a call at Selby Swaybars 0295255619, they will have a jig for KE20 and can custom make any size you want. Quote

Looking as awesome as ever! Definitely recommend Selby's. I knew Greg a while back and he did some brake and suspension work on my '25. Top bloke and very honest. Cheers Mick Quote
