KE70MAN Posted July 12, 2005 Report Posted July 12, 2005 hey guys, wanna build a bit of an exhaust, but don't have access to bender. do u think it wil be ok if i ran the piping from the resonator (half way) straight to the back to the muffler, like without going over the axel? or is that a bad idea? cheers
Jason Posted July 12, 2005 Report Posted July 12, 2005 (edited) what do you mean, run it through the diff? because if you have looked (haven't you?) the diff sits right in the way.... Edited July 12, 2005 by Jason
Teddy Posted July 12, 2005 Report Posted July 12, 2005 ugh.. um.. if you like exhausts shaped like squashed bannanna, go for it.. :D
Super Jamie Posted July 12, 2005 Report Posted July 12, 2005 alot of rotor boys run the exhaust under the diff, partially because you need a 3" pipe to get decent power out of a bridgey/turbo and there's just not enough room in the diff tunnel to go over if you don't have access to a bender, get an exhaust shop to make you up a few sections of 90 degree mandrel bent pipe and cut and weld joins at home to suit you have to put bends in an exhaust, it's just that simple. this is verging on a stupid question and before you ask, no we don't know what lengths you need, measure and plan it as you go
KE70MAN Posted July 12, 2005 Author Report Posted July 12, 2005 no like i just wanted everyones opinnion on what they thought about runing the pipe over or under the axel.. it has been done under the axel.. i just want to know whats more ethical? cheers
Super Jamie Posted July 12, 2005 Report Posted July 12, 2005 well, do you want to scrape your exhaust over speed bumps or not? there's your answer
