JiP Posted February 10, 2010 Report Posted February 10, 2010 Alot of people suggest MX55 (I think) Cressida struts and brakes. Quote
greenmac80 Posted February 10, 2010 Report Posted February 10, 2010 MX62 cressida brakes . you use the whole strut the corolla spring will fir and the standard spring hat from a corolla. i forget which steering arm you use but SLO 030 can fill in that blank. one problem though. they give you positive camber. but... this can be corrected with cambertops and/or sigma LCA's quite large brakes need a 14" rim minimum to fit. Slotted rotors are available. not much range in shocker though. but the valving in the shocks was designed for a heavier car with a 6 cylinder so the standard shoxk will keep most people happy. Quote
wil628 Posted August 22, 2014 Report Posted August 22, 2014 I know I'm digging up an old thread here but just a quick question. vn rear pads will fit my ke55 girlock callipers? Quote
kickn5k Posted August 22, 2014 Report Posted August 22, 2014 I know I'm digging up an old thread here but just a quick question. vn rear pads will fit my ke55 girlock callipers? Should do. From memory the parts numbers are one number different. Pretty sure the bendix part no for the commo pads is DB1086. Will definatly open your choice up for better material. EBC, QFM and Bendix all offer these pads in far better material than what is offered for the ke55. Quote

wil628 Posted August 22, 2014 Report Posted August 22, 2014 Sweet. Thanks very much. Time for some front slotted discs and yellow stuff pads. Might look at a pajero master as well. Quote
styler Posted August 24, 2014 Report Posted August 24, 2014 (edited) Just some advice, don't use any sort of race pads on a street car as they don't stop cold, sports pads should be ok though. Edited August 24, 2014 by styler Quote
cherryE10 Posted October 10, 2014 Report Posted October 10, 2014 xt130 corona struts and brakes will fit without cutting and welding. you just don't convert them to coil over and use a normal lowered spring. easy. you will need the corona steering knuckle too. what about from 3rd gen celicas? and can you just hook up power steering rack from them too?
