rollagt Posted January 31, 2010 Author Report Posted January 31, 2010 thats alright planing a bit of a build later on this year just need to get it going as I'm giving the miss the sp20 for her to get to work Quote
Taz_Rx Posted January 31, 2010 Report Posted January 31, 2010 Because the manifold has got hot then cold so many times all of the bolts a brittle and always snap. When building my turbo setup using a KE70 manifold I bought two KE70 mani's and snapped bolt in both of them which couldn't be removed. Went to another wrecking yard and told them I wanted the ex mani only and the issues with snapping bolts. Took the guy nearly an hour with an oxy torch to get them all out in one piece and charged me heaps. I then ran a blind tap through the holes and got myself some high tensile bolts. I would recommend you do the same thing if you want to keep the stock mani, otherwise just bight the bullet now and get some extractors - Then you'll never have a hot box gasket issue ever again! :) Quote
rollagt Posted February 4, 2010 Author Report Posted February 4, 2010 cool well i guess i should get the extractors. you no where to get any. and do i need to cover the hole on bottom of the intake? Quote
Taz_Rx Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 Nope intake has the heat sink ribs under it. There's only a hole in the ex mani. Quote
