altezzaclub Posted January 26, 2010 Report Posted January 26, 2010 That's the inlet manifold hotspot, for rapid heating of the inlet on startup. I suppose they think no-one ever takes that apart. Quote
Taz_Rx Posted January 26, 2010 Report Posted January 26, 2010 Ask for a K series "Hot-box" gasket. :D Quote

archangel62 Posted February 21, 2010 Report Posted February 21, 2010 Its not like it will actually be functioning anyway :) Why is this? And how can it be tested or made to function once more? My girlfriend's 3k KE20 heats up by the end of her street just about, but mine takes a good five minutes. I'm about to change the thermostat, but maybe there's more to it. Quote
tojo2 Posted February 21, 2010 Report Posted February 21, 2010 GASKET, INTAKE TO EXHAUST MANIFOLD 17171-13040 Clean the inlet manifold hotbox for soot buildup while you got them apart and use new bolts when putting back :) Quote
