20VBTSECA Posted July 6, 2005 Report Posted July 6, 2005 Hey My Ae92 Seca has a rear brake prob, The pads and that are pretty new but the rear brakes barley work. The handbrake is a bit soft as well. Is the anything in the drums that you can adjust cos when you plant the brakes it nose dives :P Quote
Redwarf Posted July 6, 2005 Report Posted July 6, 2005 HOw have we come to the conclusion that it is a rear brake problem? is this just because it is "nose diving"?? Quote
20VBTSECA Posted July 6, 2005 Author Report Posted July 6, 2005 well i know worn front shocks does not help but the handbrake barely works as well and you can feel it in the car that the front brakes are doign all the work Quote
demuire Posted July 6, 2005 Report Posted July 6, 2005 Handbrake not working could be bad adjustment of the handbrake. Having worn shocks doesn't help as the car will nose dive, and make your front brakes work harder (since all the weight goes over them). Fix shocks, see if you can adjust the handbrake cable and see if that fixes it. Quote
