My car is a 92 mazda mx6 coupe. it's my baby but i want to help my best mate out in buying a small car she can drive until she has more confidence on the roads, and as i used to drive corolla's thought they would be the best bet! any suggestions would be great on which model or even another toyota would be very much appreciated! thanks in advance Tiki6 Quote
Medicine_Man Posted July 6, 2005 Report Posted July 6, 2005 Any of the Corollas are good, would she be looking for a newer or older car? Quote
Tiki6 Posted July 6, 2005 Author Report Posted July 6, 2005 yeah i was thinking along those lines, but we seem to be coming across that model a lot and they all have like 17' mags and huge exhausts. trying to steer her away from that because they have probably been thrashed! lol do you know much about the newer models? SLOTH Snr Posted July 6, 2005 Report Posted July 6, 2005 Helped a female friend buy a corolla a couple of years ago. End up with a '92 hatch with only 27,000ks. What we found was good ones cost. Holden Apollo badges tended to bring the price down It just takes a lot of leg work. there were some good ones out there, but a lot of crap in between. Hang in there because they are a great little car even if just stock Quote
TRD ke70 Posted July 6, 2005 Report Posted July 6, 2005 try the auctions, i reckon they're the best bet. Quote
Tiki6 Posted July 6, 2005 Author Report Posted July 6, 2005 Thanks for your help guys :P i really want her to get a mazda like mine, but it will be too much for her to start with. thanks for all your help! Quote
bass Posted July 7, 2005 Report Posted July 7, 2005 i paid 9G for an ae101 with 95,000 from a lady owner. ae101's are a vast improvement over the ae92's i would say. try to get an rv model if your lucky (71fe 1.8l) so shell have a little more power when shes more confident and could do a g head conversion.
