springersrolla Posted January 7, 2010 Report Posted January 7, 2010 hey there quick question, read the faq,s and ta22 struts fit into the ke35s but wondering if there is any benefit with rotor size, thickness, or interchangeablity?, i wanna know if I'm better off swapping out the ke35 ones for the ta22 or go down the xt130 route? any help would be good thanks Quote
silverra23 Posted January 8, 2010 Report Posted January 8, 2010 the ta22 brakes will be a little bigger, but not significantly. the ta22 struts don't have many options for good inserts either. the brakes on the end of the xt130 strut are significantly bigger, and you then get the bonus of a wider range of struts inserts available to you. you will possibly need 15 inch wheels and tyres, or at the very least 14 inch with the right offset, if you got to xt130, so its probably a more expensive option. Falken_KE30 Posted January 8, 2010 Report Posted January 8, 2010 wrong wrong wrong :lolcry: Got TA22s in my KE55, the brakes aint much bigger, but the contact patch from pads to rotors is atleast 50% bigger. so it pulls up well. and lol at inserts, A J P S have some that suit, just needs a spacer. I agree with the XT130 being better, but i got my TA22's for free :jamie: Oh and 13's do fit, ive had 13' KE70 alloys on them. not sure if the steelies fit though. Quote
