just looking at that backing plate...the stud pattern is different to mine...where as I had been told it would be the same...

 

hrmm...might have to weld and redrill or find sone backing plates that are big enough to take the calipers.

yea ive been reading it...now my 70 brake conversion is looking harder and harder...

 

KE55 backing plates might be in order

well when you put it that way...mine looks easy...lol

 

I'll sort something out...even if it means getting different calipers. If it comes to that I'm tempted to try and use VN-VR rear calipers....g0t stopping power!?

Well i got those 2 packets plus a bottle of oil for $50, so they are cheap, must be about $30 for what you see above. Just bought the new struts, $250 for the front set from Pedders

 

Just a note for KE70 owners wishing to purchase new struts, be aware there are 2 sizes, a 45mm and a 50mm, they are both the same price but its a nightmare going to purchase them when you don't know the size. ( Size is the diameter of the suspension unit, not the strut insert ).
