Medicine_Man Posted January 18, 2004 Report Posted January 18, 2004 Heres a sneek preview of Nicks project KE70's crossmember, I've been giving it a little TLC while nick hasn't been able to make it up here to work on it. Quote
irokin Posted January 18, 2004 Report Posted January 18, 2004 eww evil evil spring platforms lmao looking good other than that :D just looking at that backing plate...the stud pattern is different to mine...where as I had been told it would be the same... hrmm...might have to weld and redrill or find sone backing plates that are big enough to take the calipers. demuire Posted January 18, 2004 Report Posted January 18, 2004 Ben: might have something to do with rack&pinion Corolla. There was a discussion about this on the oldrollas list. Grim & Medicine_Man: Looking very pretty :D Quote

demuire Posted January 19, 2004 Report Posted January 19, 2004 Ben: Can't possibly have been more difficult than mine :D Quote
irokin Posted January 19, 2004 Report Posted January 19, 2004 Ben: Can't possibly have been more difficult than mine :D well when you put it that way...mine looks easy...lol I'll sort something out...even if it means getting different calipers. If it comes to that I'm tempted to try and use VN-VR rear calipers....g0t stopping power!? Quote
Medicine_Man Posted January 22, 2004 Author Report Posted January 22, 2004 Did someone say nolathane? :D Front end swaybar bushes have been purchased Second question, is graphite grease necessary for the 2 main bushes? Quote
mumblezzz Posted January 23, 2004 Report Posted January 23, 2004 What are those babys worth? My front ends looser than an old screen door. In fact every end is pretty loose. Any places that sell em cheap too? Quote
Medicine_Man Posted January 23, 2004 Author Report Posted January 23, 2004 Well i got those 2 packets plus a bottle of oil for $50, so they are cheap, must be about $30 for what you see above. Just bought the new struts, $250 for the front set from Pedders Just a note for KE70 owners wishing to purchase new struts, be aware there are 2 sizes, a 45mm and a 50mm, they are both the same price but its a nightmare going to purchase them when you don't know the size. ( Size is the diameter of the suspension unit, not the strut insert ). Quote
Medicine_Man Posted January 23, 2004 Author Report Posted January 23, 2004 As of just before the standard swaybar has been cleaned up and undercoated, as well as the 2 parts of the suspension unit. Quote
irokin Posted January 23, 2004 Report Posted January 23, 2004 jebus...that sway bar is a monster compared to mine Quote
