I have a really anoying LOUD knocking noise from the front left hand wheel and knocks when you turn to the right. CLUNK CLUNK CLUNK CLUNK, and you can feel it through the whole car!. Driveshafts are pretty new and I have just replaced the wheel bearing on that side and the boots and re-greased the CV joints.

any ideas??

funny, i've got this exact same noise, FLHS...

but i'm pretty sure it's the wheel bearing...

just aint got the time/money to get it fixed...

and it only seems to do it when it's cold at night, or when i really thrash around (me, thrash? :P

had the same prob with my cricket way back when.....

the fact that it goes away for a while when you lift it is the clue;

my brake rotors were warped, and the lower control arm bushings were totally wasted.

also daisy did this until i got the rotors ground, but she's got bad ball joints

oh shit!!!

had this exact same problem with an opel gt

check your inner rim bead and the flat of the inner rim

i put some nice modern wheels on the opel, but they were fwd offset, after lowering it off the jack it would be fine for 10 mi or so then start clunking

it turned out, the rim was hitting the upper control arm
