not atm the moment to the lights.. but yes i will have them.. just trying to decide how exactly i want to go about it.

most likely LED's with a chrome bezel. and i've though of getting CHARGE and BRAKE and OIL lasercut into plastic. although that may be very exxy.

Narva make these chrome bezel warning lights in red, green, blue and amber from memory. they might be good?

edit: heres what I'm talking about.there called pilot lamps

LOL none of its is wired up yet.. i'm flying blind.. but i have the wiring diagram and i've made an electric speed sensor from a 3vz housing cut down and the t 50 gear.. and funnily enough the t50 gear fits the k box no worries. seriously just buy one have a look at the diagram.. if you can wire up a stezza then the speedo aint much more difficult according the sheets.

hmm thanks for that!! i really like the 62026BL's suit my needs perfectly.. and i reckon would look good even tho no chrome bezel.

push in ones are so much simpler.

i think with the styling of your gauges (especially tacho) the chrome pilot lamps would look best as they match alot better and the chrome lip just gives it a bit of class. the push in ones look a bit cheap IMO.

I've never had a problem with them...

hold the face and do the bolt finger tight, get a spanner and nip it a tiny bit more... or a socket.

yeah i kno that but i'm using 3mm mdf and the ones i looked at, at jaycar weren't deep enough. + i got that quilting which has wadding stitched into it which'll take up another 2mm or so.

maybe the narva ones are deeper and have more thread.? maybe i don't know.

but.... if i drill the hole only jst big enough.. the material might make the fit tight enough to make them a push fit.

none of my gauges have solid mounting.. the fit into the hole is tight enough that they don't move. except one.. which i will chuck a bracket on.

thats an idea, but also, you can drill the hole and if you have it grab a dremel with a sanding face, and sand the mdf so its say 1-2mm thick, if you know what i mean... I can make a simple diagram if it helps.

ah yes i didn't think of that and i have a dremel laying about as well. cheers!! i used the same method on some door trim on my partners old mx5. 6mm mdf had to be brought down to fit the normal door trim clips.!

ok so i purchased pilot lights.. 2 green 2 red 1 amber and one blue.

sum total of $60!! didn't use the blue one after all.

so so far i have the guage lights working.. the tach wired in and working.. the indicator lights working.

something went wrong in my wiring and the temp guage sits on max when the car is running but reads correctly when on accessories. and the charge light and oil light stay on.

will suss it tomorrow.

hope to have the speedo and fuel gauge done by the end of the wkend.

bought a new welder today so i'll be having fun building a nice new workbench!!
