quite a lot of things to come i'm making a list tonight of the things i wanna do. pretty much this car is very quickly turning into what my 55 will be like but lower quality gear.

ok so here is a list of the 'to do'

 

• Install new carpet. DONE.
  
• remove and redo the dodgy wiring for the stereo. DONE.
  
• purchase and install reco steering-box
  
• purchase clutch and install with 5 speed
  
• sort out a non whining diff (if anyone can help out please pm). May have this sorted!
  
• make new door trims
  
• install sound-stream co-ax speakers up front and move mtx speakers to the rear
  
• find new pillar plastics
  
• vinyl spray the roof lining black
  
• replace windscreen rubbers front and back
  
• move CD player to the top of the dash. DONE.
  
  
• run wiring for central locking. DONE.
  
  
• powder-coat rear quarter vents
  
• install alarm system
  
• rebuild 4k sitting in shed and install
  
• get major wheel alignment done
  
• paint engine bay
  

 

i think that's it.!

 

some things won't be done before i'm driving it such as the rebuilt 4k but it'll come nonetheless.

ok so another of my famous updates!

 

i took ALL of this CRAP out.

 

i took this out

 

and i took this out.

 

i then put this in.. well i'm halfway through it.. very time consuming trying to get it right.

 

and i put this on!

 

i've also run all the wiring for the stereo and the central locking. done it properly this time!

 

the previous owners job was horrible. RCA run ziptied to the power lead!!

moving the battery to the boot? also PLEASE upgrade the output wire from the alternator(its like 2 2mm wires ?)

nah well probably did but didn't hear it over the diff.

 

but once it got to my garage and i put the bigger amp and subs in i could here the internal workings of the cd player coming through the subs ffs.

you inspire me to that to mine i want to ask what is that front suspension that you put in to yours and the brakes

front sussy is mx62 cressida struts and brakes. RA60 celica power steering arms. urethane bushes. aka superpro and nolathane.

 

gabriel ultras for shocks

 

custom springs. mitsubishi springs i think with the bottom coil wound in to suit the strut.

all new ball joints tie rods etc. pretty much answer your question?

your a legend mate coz i like what your doing and just looking at the green corolla now looking good and what did you do to the grills on your cars as well the mesh

both grills wre just painted. the grill thats one there now is a stock corolla one that i painted myself.

the black and silver one i have to say is the only one of that sort i've ever seen. so maybe they are rare?

Ok so i finished with the carpet tonight. reinstalled my seats.

 

gave the sill plastics and kick panels a good wash and a coat of matt black! looks great!

and installed em.

 

and moved the CD player to the top!

 

I can say though.... I love Dremels! made this job sooo easy!

 

 

i still have to sort out some more plastic to block off the the remaining hole.

also have some plans for the area where the original radio goes.

It is you'd find them on the early KE35's.
