Hey fellas, i just recently purchased a ke70 4k 5speed manual off a mate.

it's stock bog as it sits atm apart from some interior mods :L.

i was wondering what would be the best springs to lower it? it sits like a 4wd atm. whats a suitable hight for it?

also. I'm in the process of buying extractors and an zorst for it. what's the best carby to run on it? atm it has the stocko one.

and is there a way i could fix my throttle? it seems to stick alot so its constantly on.

if anyone one could help it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Dan.

Hey mate, if you have a bit of a search around you'll be able to find some good info. With suspension theres a few options from the dodgy cut falcon springs to getting king springs put in... as far as carbs go the 32 / 36 is a bit big on a pretty stock motor but gemini cards, twin carbs etc can be put on also. But as i said search and you shall find

Just trim a little off the stock spring if you want to lose an inch or so. Don't go crazy and take 50mm off like a lot of guys do... ruins the ride!

Twin SU carbs or twin Webers or a nice quad setup off a motorbike! You'll find post about all of them in here. It depends on what you want the car to do... trackwork/hillclimbs, traffic light drags, drifting or just try to keep up with the traffic on the M5...

Its no good doing carbs without the exhaust, and its not much use doing those without a cam as well...

Check the cable has enough slack at idle and the horrible slow-deceleration diaphram is working OK.

Cutting springs is illegal and if you are unlucky enough to have a big accident that leads to the coroner or your insurance company having a real good look at your car, you find your self in all sorts of sh*t and without any kind of insurance pay out or coverage. Real bad if you happened to kill someone in that bad accident.

Don't cut springs. Kings do lowered springs. If they are not low enough, have a look at the forum sponsors at www.ae86drivingclub.com.au - one of them will be able to provide you with properly manufactured low springs.

I'm with silverra23

I'm doing this atm

go with kings super low if they got them.

there cheap and you wont have to worry about no pay out if you kill some one.

sweet as, I'm quite new to the car scene, so I'm unsure where i can grab a set of those?
