levvyy Posted December 10, 2009 Report Posted December 10, 2009 Hi, i'm Levi, i'm new. So I just bought my first car for $112 lmao. Was going for a mitusbishi Fto, but realised that would be written off within a week. Decided on a corolla. Cheap, reliable, and i wont worry about little scratches. But i hate the look of these black bumpers etc. What could I do to it? I'm thinking repaint, put on ok kit on it (could someone recommend somewhere that sells 1985 kits? can't find any), maybe some rims. Thanks :hmm: Quote
200Boy Posted December 10, 2009 Report Posted December 10, 2009 (edited) You can get colour coded bumpers but not for that series/colour. SSV sell skirts that look nice and clean for this car but again they're in the twincam white or red. They make good first cars though, just don't worry too much about power. Suspension and some good brake pads, and all new fluids will make her sweet. Can get a lot of nice rims too. Edited December 10, 2009 by 200Boy Quote
jono1986 Posted December 10, 2009 Report Posted December 10, 2009 Make it a purely audio mobile, with some lightning bolt graphics and just an insane stereo.......not being a tool...would be pretty cool Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted December 10, 2009 Report Posted December 10, 2009 Rims, tints, stereo. Done. Oh and a few rollaclub stickers :hmm: Quote
towe001 Posted December 10, 2009 Report Posted December 10, 2009 rollaclub stickers For the win http://www.rollaclub.com/board/index.php?showtopic=32832 Quote
snot35 Posted December 10, 2009 Report Posted December 10, 2009 First car I wouldn't worry too much! They end up pretty ragged if you're doing it right. Maybe source some twin cam mags, maybe spoiler etc if you're going to paint it. Otherwise I'd probably just do rims and keep it tidy. Quote
Paul Posted December 11, 2009 Report Posted December 11, 2009 Series 1 CSX / Twincam rims, or AE93 SX rims. JDM AE86 steering wheel or twincam AE82 wheel. Damn good tyres with correct wheel alignment, service, stereo and that is all. Spend all your money on a second car (rear wheel drive corolla, forget the Mitsubishi crap). Colour coded bars would look shit, give your current bars a hit with armor-all when you put a tidy set of rims on it, and you'll see there's no need for a kit. Quote
67Rolla-Ken Posted December 11, 2009 Report Posted December 11, 2009 A hot girl draped over the bonnet would work for me :hmm: Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted December 11, 2009 Report Posted December 11, 2009 I think you just nailed it there Ken!!!! Quote
towe001 Posted December 11, 2009 Report Posted December 11, 2009 remove engine and put a 3sgte in Stuff that either 2vz, 3vz, 1mz or the 2mz But all honesty if its your first car, i wouldn't be really going all that far in mods. Just keep it all basic and simple Quote
mungi mods Posted December 11, 2009 Report Posted December 11, 2009 lower it 3 inches over a set of 16's respray in a late model pearlesent colour tint Quote
Budowski Posted December 11, 2009 Report Posted December 11, 2009 Raise it 20 inches and drop the shell onto a suzuki 4WD chassis with truck stack pipes. Quote
