I have a 5k with the 4k efi in me ke20 and it runs ok but every time i hook the air flow meter up it seems to choke the engine up and runs it to rich and blows a shit load of black smoke, when i run it without the afm it idles great but when i load the motor up whilst driving (30 kph) in third it back fires and wants to stall even when the accerator is applied slowly, any help will be greatly appreciated   :hmm: :hmm: :D :jamie:  :bash: :sob: :sob: :sob:

what computer are you running and other electrical specs? you don't even need and AFM to make it run good. I'm running a wolf3d on my 5k with custom inlet. I'm thinking shit tune, faulty fuel regulator possibly. mainly all about the tune

As previously asked, are you using the stock ECU or aftermarket?

Where did you get the EFI kit from? NZ?

Reason I ask is a lot of kiwi's with aspirated K's will adjust the AFM to richen the tune on boost instead of goes AM ECU.

You could possible have one of these modded ones and thats why its getting mega rich! :(

My advice - Just get an AM ECU and be done with it. :)
