KENut Posted February 7, 2010 Report Posted February 7, 2010 and I'm getting a monster tacho tonight offf a mate what do i do to wire it up can somebody give me a hand Don't wire it up, throw it in the bin where all monster tachos belong. Anyway, from memory, neg coil, powah, negative, and lights wires should come from the back of ze tacho Quote
SLO-030 Posted February 7, 2010 Report Posted February 7, 2010 Black = Ground Red = constant 12v Yellow = switched 12v Green = Coil - White = lights. But in all honesty, its a stock 4k. Get an 3 3/4in 8,000rpm speco or similar. Big enough to see at a quick glance and small enough to grab unwanted attention. Quote
Murd 55 Posted February 7, 2010 Report Posted February 7, 2010 monster tachos are gross! was a starlet at work with one i was loling the whole time i drove it! i had a 2" speco one in my 55 was more than enough but then i needed something small enough for the clock hole, was a pretty penny thou! and then did my other dials to match! fusion Posted February 9, 2010 Report Posted February 9, 2010 4AGE parts: - Engine crossmember - Gearbox crossmember - Pedal box (hyrdaulic setup) - Fuel system. Do a little research, either JDM tank or most people just go a surge tank setup I think - Radiator for different outings - Tailshaft?? (T50 to borgie diff (?)) Wiring . . theres a guy on AE86 that was offering his services. Cheers Fusion Quote

fusion Posted February 9, 2010 Report Posted February 9, 2010 Yeah AE71 crossmember bolts straight in as far as I am aware. Might be other choices (Sams engine mounts maybe?) Also not 100% with the radiator just guessing, but you might aswell be aware of all the costs before hand. Another place that might be able to help you wire up is BuddyParts, heard they've done a few before. Don't know how much it will cost you though Quote
drft_wpn70 Posted February 9, 2010 Report Posted February 9, 2010 yeah both inlet and out let have to be ont the RH side of the radiator AE71 crossmembers bolt in ive got a surge tank in mine but when i got it it only had a vl pump and it worked fine Quote
