ltzgmp-ke70 Posted December 2, 2009 Report Posted December 2, 2009 Hey, did a quick search but couldnt see anything on this. Can someone tell me if the k50 gear box 5spd shifter thread is 12 x 1.25 or 10 x 1.25. I'm getting a new gear knob and just want to make sure it will fit. Thanks for your help Leah ^_^ Quote
Taz_Rx Posted December 2, 2009 Report Posted December 2, 2009 Don't have one handy to measure...... but you should!! Just remove your gear know and measure the diametre of the thread. It'll be either 10mm or 12mm and then you have your answer. :D Quote
ltzgmp-ke70 Posted December 2, 2009 Author Report Posted December 2, 2009 Ok thanks! i didnt realise that was how you measure it! Leah ^ _ ^ Quote
philbey Posted December 2, 2009 Report Posted December 2, 2009 I'm pretty certain they're all 12mm. pitch I cannot remember. Quote
dfunkt Posted December 2, 2009 Report Posted December 2, 2009 (edited) M12 x 1.25 one way to find out, take off your current gearknob and go visit bunnings. take it to the bolt section and use their bolt tester to see what size it screws onto. (that's what i did anyway :D) Edited December 2, 2009 by dfunkt Quote
TE278U Posted December 2, 2009 Report Posted December 2, 2009 strange toyota use m12 x 1.5 on their wheel studs, and 1.25 on their gearknob. Nissan use 1.25 on their wheel studs, haven't bothered looking at gearsticks. more useless info you didn't want to know... Quote
