Hmm, I wish I had an account with RallySportMagazine...

What a weapon, I knew it was fast, but I didn't know it was THAT fast. While I was at Mt Buller someone told me about it and I thought "umm... yeah, right". 750hp, ~50psi of boost, 0-100 in 1.9 seconds on slicks, 0-100 in 2.1 seconds on street tyres... Bloody hell!!!

It didn't do very well though, I think it broke on one of the runs. And even if it didn't break, it still wouldn't have done very well. Alistair Bye (in the Sherrin Hire GT3) pretty much beat him in every single run... And it was less than a minute faster than Iain and I in the Mini (which is a MUCH slower car...)

and if you've ever seen the jeremy clarkson movie with the modified rs200, or even played gt4 with a stock one, they're twitchy impossible little things to drive. good on paper, a pain in the ass IRL from everything i've seen about them

Heh, short wheelbase, mid (or rear?) engine, tiny car with HUGE power, I wouldn't expect anything less than a twitchy impossible little thing to drive :P

But oh my, how much fun :D

No one person should be allowed to own this many nice cars...

Jamie: 8 speed manual actually, I don't think the "power/economy" Colts ever came in 5 speed :P I used to have one... It was cool. Cheapest (to run), most reliable car I've ever owned. Yes, cheaper even than the mighty Corolla.
