doripig_01 Posted November 25, 2009 Report Posted November 25, 2009 (edited) So i Bought the Ksev about February of 2009, dirty old 4k, standard, Got some wheels, a new exhaust, gktech wheel, and basically havent done much else to it, Finally decided its time to attack it and get it looking somewhat better than it was, so i started by finding what rust i had and figured why not get into it and sand it back to give it a new colour. decided i wanted to do an engine conversion, found a cheap CA18det engine package and have started the process of long hours of sanding, welding, bogging, more sanding, fab work, and such.. Havent got a deadline as of yet, so atm i do some work, forget about it, do some more, and so on... Edited January 16, 2010 by doripig_01 Quote

doripig_01 Posted December 8, 2009 Author Report Posted December 8, 2009 Few pics of the last few days, have been sidetracked a little as my mate just got himself a WB ute and we have been working on that, also put a porch up to which got ripped down by a whirlie wind, which also ripped up some hay bales and threw a water tank halfway across a paddock... so for now she will sit like this until we have the ute sorted and the porch done... :) Quote
doripig_01 Posted December 27, 2009 Author Report Posted December 27, 2009 So got a daily and the CA-rolla can be off the road for a while.. needs to be modplated anyhow.. so this is what 2hrs of fiddling can do... Quote

redae71 Posted December 30, 2009 Report Posted December 30, 2009 nice work mate, are you using the standard diff? i made that mistake and it broke the first time i snapped 2nd lol find a decent t18 or ae86 diff, check out my build for some tips, also i have all the ca18 wiring diagrams and ecu pinouts if you need them... doripig_01 Posted December 30, 2009 Author Report Posted December 30, 2009 Yeah it has the standard diff that has been slightly tampered with... :) Quote
doripig_01 Posted January 16, 2010 Author Report Posted January 16, 2010 So since christmas/new years, I found a T18 diff cheap, along with some T18 front struts/brakes, Fitted the T18 diff, wired up all the relays, so its all ready to go in a sense, just need engine mounts, tailshaft put the clutch pedal in, chuck ecu in the passenger kick panel and setup a front mount, its slowly but surely getting there, just cash seems to be the main thing slowing it down.
