Redwarf Posted July 1, 2005 Report Posted July 1, 2005 (edited) Torque figure doesn't really sound right..... *edit: ft/lbs..... could be wrong...... Edited July 1, 2005 by Redwarf Quote
demuire Posted July 1, 2005 Report Posted July 1, 2005 (edited) No, torque figures are right. That's at the wheels. Roughly divide by your diff ratio. And then that figure, is after drivetrain losses... My stock 4AGE pulled like 383Nm with a 4.1 diff. And 69hp. At the same dyno that Rob pulled 60hp, I think. Edited July 1, 2005 by demuire Quote

Redwarf Posted July 2, 2005 Report Posted July 2, 2005 My diesel Pajero has 383mn of torque. something doesn't sound right. Quote
demuire Posted July 2, 2005 Report Posted July 2, 2005 (edited) Umm... Isn't the conversion from ft-lb to Nm something like, 1ft-lb = 1.375Nm? If so, 440ft-lb = 605Nm atw, which assuming you're running a 5.1 diff, would be about... 118Nm at the engine? Does that sound vaguely right? Edited July 2, 2005 by demuire Quote
TRD ke70 Posted July 2, 2005 Report Posted July 2, 2005 must be something wrong with his dyno, we had it all converted on the dyno from metric. i'll find out in couple of weeks when it goes back. Quote
Corolla_Kid Posted July 3, 2005 Report Posted July 3, 2005 i was gonna say, 1800nm of torque from a k-series haha Quote
Super Jamie Posted July 3, 2005 Report Posted July 3, 2005 you could certainly drift with that! Quote
TRD ke70 Posted July 3, 2005 Report Posted July 3, 2005 you can drift it. but this is what the dyno was reading out, i didn't believe it, thats why i got him to convert it. i thinking that his dyno is setup wrong, it is brand new but some of the figures he showed me from other cars didn't quite add up either. i'll see what happens after rockhampton as we're going to take it back for some tuning. ancullen Posted July 3, 2005 Report Posted July 3, 2005 I've never really checked out a dyno, but I assume they have to enter a diff ratio on a computer somewhere??? If so, perhaps they put the wrong ratio into the computer. Maybe got a decimal point in the wrong spot? Quote
20V_KE35 Posted July 5, 2005 Report Posted July 5, 2005 what is the most effetive way to increase torque gain in k engine???not with force induction....the highest figure??? Quote
