beerhead Posted August 11, 2005 Author Report Posted August 11, 2005 :jamie: I wish I'd thought to turn off english only data. But By the looks I reakon the GTE pins will be 20mm, hp /L it makes sense comparing it to the 4AGZE. Quote
Dan Posted September 2, 2005 Report Posted September 2, 2005 out of interest, whats it worth for a 4age? Quote
Super Jamie Posted September 2, 2005 Report Posted September 2, 2005 stupid question. check toymods/twincam for sale section or the paper or magazines. prices change all the time, and it really depends what you're getting and where it's from i've heard of people picking up running fwd 16v engines for under a hundred bucks on forums, and people are also paying close to two grand for turbo'ed 20v front cuts from importers Quote
blown 5k Posted September 3, 2005 Report Posted September 3, 2005 (edited) 1g-e rods crossreference part numbers to 4k/5k rods although there is some production changes in the rods from what i`ve seen.1g-gte and 1g-gze both have different part numbers. can't say ive had any problems with my supercharged 5k running 12 pounds boost. Dan Posted September 3, 2005 Report Posted September 3, 2005 yeah, i know, it really was a stupid question... Quote
beerhead Posted September 3, 2005 Author Report Posted September 3, 2005 Found someone with some standard 4AGZE pistons. He reakons $120 for the set. Anyone know how well the GZE rings hold up, is it worth getting new ones if they look ok? Quote
Raven Posted September 3, 2005 Report Posted September 3, 2005 My mates got a 4AGZE block with 20V head, its turboed in his AE82, he's running 16psi and making 150kw @ the wheels with a mild engine map. Did have it to 175kw @ wheels but the intercooler piping blew off. That was running a 2540 turbo or something. Comes on boost at like 4500rpm. So i'd say they're pretty good as the bottom end and pistons and rods havent been changed for the life of the engine. Quote
