Just a quick question to ask what this forum is all about and what Rollaclub exactly is?

I was searching Google for an active Toyota fan club based in Australia and what not, and managed to stumble across this site. Just wanted to confirm that it's what I'm looking for before wasting people's time.

Thanks and sorry for an awkwardness... :S

Hmmm... if by "Toyota" you mean "Toyota Corolla in all it's infinite glory and form" then yes... this is the place to be.

Rollaclub is a forum for those who share a passion or at least interest in the restoration, modification and maintenance of corollas of every generation... correct me if i'm wrong?

Hell, we're not (all) picky or so narrow minded that we can't see the benefit of other cars...... Eg.Uncle Shady's Brick, Dan's vagn, Si's RX4, list goes on.....

If it sexy, or if you have a passion for it, chances are someone else here will appreciate it the way you do..... :o

This is a place full of information, advice (providing you make use of the ever so handy search function :S ), great people willing to offer a hand or some helpful information, and friendly fun......

Enjoy your stay, and feel free to post up a rides thread to show us the rolla you're proud of.

I do agree with all of the above, however I think we have a stronger backing in the older KE series of corollas, as these are more in our price range and more plentiful around Australia.

However in saying that, rc isn't just corolla's or ke's for that matter (why should we just focus on one era of corollas). Agreeing with what yoda said as well, if you have a passion for cars in general and want to know more about them, this would be a great forum to learn off.

Bloody oath, I've come to the right place then!

I am keen on getting a Toyota Corolla Seca for my next car (IF things go my way on an appeal I am doing on a two year driving suspension)... I'll start posting some things up and hopefully get as much constructive criticism and discussion possible. Thanks for the warm welcome; I've been a part of many other fan clubs and what not and always manage to stumble on rude and idiotic people... Makes me sick...

Anyway, thanks again and I hope to hear from you all soon. Thanks for the support also.

Two years ago I would have agreed but these days I think we've grow beyond total KE centricity. At one stage it was even getting snobbish if it wasn't a KE. I think now you could ask a question about virtually any Toyota (certainly any Corolla) and get some kind of meaningful answer. We've certainly grown in the 4A-G department and theres some very knowledgeable members willing to help. In the interest of Rollaclubs longevity we need to look beyond the KE series because, lets face it, the stock of KEs will only last so long.

rude and idiotic people...

This is a common thing to find anywhere on the great wide intarwebz, and John Gabriel's Greater IFT/IDT explains it perfectly.....

we are pretty broad minded bunch here...most cars welcome with a primary focus on 60's, 70's and 80's corollas

although we also have a fair contingent of 90's and 00's as well as well as other toyota models and other makes as well

Hell, i even drive a bloody '07 lancer. The last rolla i drove was about 3 years ago - not including sitting my fat, tubby arse in the "wreck" thats sitting in the garage

And ain't the that truth, i'm a member of two lancer forums and neither of them hold anyway near a chance of what RollaClub is. Heck you don't even have to log in to see what all the fun, games, fights, tears and general noise is all about, miragelancer.com you have to become a member and log in to see the dullness....

:no2: where is ol' uncle shady these days ?
