KETURBO25 Posted November 21, 2009 Author Report Posted November 21, 2009 Id love to dude, but for now I'm happy with what ive got, A major improvement from what i started with. Â ive spent nearly $2000 on the car this month alone! i thought the mrs's was expensive,Damn. :) Quote
KETURBO25 Posted November 25, 2009 Author Report Posted November 25, 2009 (edited) Okay, so inspired by Mungi Mods, i finally got around to buying some sand paper and some Autosol so i could begin polishing my wheels. I went 600, 1200 and then 2000 grit sandpaper and then hand polished it with Autosol and it came up like brand new... Â After that, i taped the wheel up and sprayed the centre of the kidney bean holes and the centre of the wheel in black. Its my first time doing anything this extensive to a wheel and it wont be the last cause it came up looking much better then i thought they would. Ive put up before and after shots of the wheel i polished, and when ive rolled the guards and the car wants to move again, ill put some more pics up of them on the car. Â It took 2 hours to do this one so theres definatlly some elbow grease required. Â Heres the pics. oh what a nissan feeling! Posted November 25, 2009 Report Posted November 25, 2009 so shiny! Â hey man, you can buy a cloth buffing wheel for drills, about 100mm round for about $10-15. Â use autosol with that and your arm will hurt a bit less! Quote
KETURBO25 Posted November 25, 2009 Author Report Posted November 25, 2009 Now theres an idea! Ive still got three to go dude so some futuristic contraption like that could be the answer my poor shoulder needs at the moment! Â Its just another one of those times where i find my self saying Why didnt i think of that? lol  Â Cheers m8. :hmm: Quote
mungi mods Posted November 25, 2009 Report Posted November 25, 2009 39.95 at bunning .. comes with a stitched one used with grey compound and a cloth used with white goes in your drill  but no substitute for sanding by hand unfortunately..   once theyre buffed give em a hit with autosol and bling bling..................... philbey Posted November 26, 2009 Report Posted November 26, 2009 Should be alright to give them a hit with the drill then hand polish for a final finish though wouldn't it? Quote
mungi mods Posted November 26, 2009 Report Posted November 26, 2009 depends on condition.. i sand every wheel i do simply to remove any scratches and marks and to be sure i have a perfect surface to buff most old rims have some form of oxidization which the buff will remove but it takes a long time to get the same results Quote

KETURBO25 Posted December 31, 2009 Author Report Posted December 31, 2009 Hey ryan, yeah mate should have the motor back next week i hope, can't wait! I'm not sure what I'm gonna do with this Calais dude? I know one thing though, If i keep it its gonna be getting a manual thrown in it! But I'm just trying to weigh up wether or not its actually worth the f@$k around cause it just looks like the sort of car that would get defected in no time. With the way fuzz are these days I'm seriously considering getting a little fuel injected late model Rolla to just keep as a daily. Quote
