sleepy Posted October 31, 2009 Report Posted October 31, 2009 Just wondering if anyone has fitted 15 or 16 inch rims to there KE1x's, and if they came across any problems/what they did to resolve em? Would love to see some pics of how it looks. Thanks. Quote
TE278U Posted November 1, 2009 Report Posted November 1, 2009 I personally haven't seen any, iirc. I imagine it would look somewhat like a mazda R100 with 16's plenty of pics around of those. best bet to get something that fits right would be to measure everything first, so you know what will fit. work out clearances and offset, then go hunting. :( a lot of rims that come off a mazda will fit your ke1x, but some of the wider wheels won't fit without rolling your guards. are you planning on doing this soon? -Dave Quote
sleepy Posted November 2, 2009 Author Report Posted November 2, 2009 I was planning on doing it relatively soon i suppose, just wanted to see how it looks as i would love to throw on some Simmons FR15/16's or F90's to clear the brakes, not to mention they are the best looking rims ever imo. Quote
TE278U Posted November 2, 2009 Report Posted November 2, 2009 maybe have a play with photoshop, or paint. should be easy to get a profile pic of ke1, and simmons too. otherwise pics of r100 f=with fr17 should be pretty common. should be able to get a general idea. most likely find some rims for sale on ausrotarydotcom would be right pcd as well. good luck :( Quote
TE278U Posted November 2, 2009 Report Posted November 2, 2009 (edited) imho, doesn't look great, only because you can't get much dish to fit in the guards sample Edited November 2, 2009 by TE278U Quote
Felix Posted November 2, 2009 Report Posted November 2, 2009 You can only fit 6 inch wide rims with the right offset under them before you need to start pumping/flaring the guards. Quote
Gnaget Posted November 2, 2009 Report Posted November 2, 2009 (edited) You can only fit 6 inch wide rims with the right offset under them before you need to start pumping/flaring the guards. I'm gonna run my KE11 with 14*8 offset 7 . As soon as I have redrilled the bultpaddern on the rearaxle. forgot you wanted to see photo. Edited November 2, 2009 by Gnaget Quote
