sleepercorty Posted April 7, 2010 Report Posted April 7, 2010 car's not regoed and i got no license, will be getting it towed to the next winton fun day for some circuit work  i think i'll have to get that fixed up so that it face's forwards then :y: i did it that way to give more room for the turbo and dump pipe, just means you have to run a longer pipe from the turbo to the carby. Quote
LXY-642 Posted April 7, 2010 Report Posted April 7, 2010 Yeah mate will deff be saying in here if I'll be making it there or not. Awk then. Might leave it in that case and just run cooler piping over the rocker cover and 90 it into the carby hat  Quote
Taz_Rx Posted April 8, 2010 Report Posted April 8, 2010 Yeah you're on the right track with the surge tank. Just need to run the return line from the reg into the ST as well, then a return line out of the ST into the main tank. The fun only starts at 15psi! Quote
LXY-642 Posted April 8, 2010 Report Posted April 8, 2010 Might only start at 15psi. But I don't think the t25g will be enjoying anything more then 15psi lol. Sweet as thought I was right with the surge tank position . Dw I will be using a return line. So would I use the original feed line as return? And run a new feed line for the fuel? Quote
Taz_Rx Posted April 9, 2010 Report Posted April 9, 2010 Yeah thats what I did. Just ran new 3/8 rubber as the new send. You do need the return line on both the reg and surge tank. :( Quote
LXY-642 Posted April 9, 2010 Report Posted April 9, 2010 Thanks mate:) so I'll get some new fuel hose and get a fitting onto the tank. Run a new fuel feed line into the reg. Oh and through the surge tank :(. Then run return from reg into existing feed to the surge tank then back into the fuel tank :) oh and I'm guessing I'm going to need. Ballist resistor also? Where would I get one of them from ? Quote

LXY-642 Posted April 9, 2010 Report Posted April 9, 2010 yeah just ran a search on good old google as i couldnt think of what they were lol. so i'm guessing that the car should already have one at the coil then in that case? Quote

LXY-642 Posted April 9, 2010 Report Posted April 9, 2010 Thanks mate :( no pic needed. Going to collect the other few little bits needed while my cousin is trying to find a house. Can't take the car home so can't work on it till my cousin has a place. Planning on doing this k turbo setup with the cooler that I'll use with the bpt setup. So I'm only buying parts once :) even though hopefully the kt setup will end of on a cheap daily when it comes of this wagon  lol. Speaking of which I gotta have a decent look at this other ke36 that I've found cheap  Quote
LXY-642 Posted April 25, 2010 Report Posted April 25, 2010 Ok. Well it seems that the turbo setup will no longer be going onto this car. It will be saved for another corolla. Just got the car to my cousins new house just a few hours ago. Stupid thing got stuck on the car trailer lol bit low. We literally had to lift the car a foot of the ground at the front till it rolled backwards haha. Anyways. Popped out both rear windows and took of the rear vents to have a look for the rust situation going on. None under the vents bit under the window sills. Tomorrow will be stripping the car down. Bonnet off, tailgate, doors, lights, interior. And if enough time the driveline also. Will be taking plenty of progress pics as we go along  still got no idea on what colour I want to paint it yet haha. Matt Quote
LXY-642 Posted April 26, 2010 Report Posted April 26, 2010 with just me and my cousin at it, started 11am and finished around 7pm with a fair few breaks. quite happy with the rust, nowhere near as bad as we were expecting it to be  and also quite happy with how much we got done. front end's all apart, engine's out, rear window's out, tailgate's off, tail lights off, rear vents off, interior stripped, almost all rust concerns found. more could of been done, but with kids there to be looked after, needing to go and buy a bucket to drain coolant and oil, and freezer bags to store bolts etc. and the fact of not much sleep over the weekend, hence the late start and early finish. need to get a charger for my digital camera so i can stop taking all the pictures with my phone lol, having no flash is the most annoying. floor only has the one rust hole we already knew about at the rear drivers side seat belt bolt, the rest of the floor is all rust free  let me know what you all think? Matt. Quote
LXY-642 Posted April 27, 2010 Report Posted April 27, 2010 (edited) Thanks Vinnie :). Next time I'm at me cousin's place the doors will be coming straight off. Also probably staying with leaf rear end now, unless somebody can put in an easy direction for coil rear? Going to fit rack and pinion steering. Ajps coilovers. Shortened vl diff and run vt front brake setup. And tossing up on wether to minitub it or not  some other plans have also changed. Am getting a complete aftermarket inlet plenum with bellmouth runners made up. High mount turbo manifold with a gt3582r 0.70 front cover and 0.63 rear. External gate. And aiming for 300rwkw with some decent head work and cams. Should make for some fun and hopefully be able to keep it under 1,000kg with me in it. Matt Edited April 28, 2010 by wpn36 Quote
