oh yeah, going 12a turbo now ;) if anyone wants a couple mazda bp motor's hit me up, otherwise i'll keep them and end of putting one in one of the other ke36's or something lol.

Yeah i change my mind more then some chicks lol. But I can get engine and box 12a for less then the cost ofthe mx5 gearbox. Maybe I'll just shut up untill I actually get something mounted in there haha

 

 

Also will have a look into that for the bp motor.

 

And curly. At least I didn't say sr20 ;) I think you'd disown me then if I did lol

No deff not staying with a k motor in this one anymore. That's why I got my old ke36 back it will be the daily. This one I am still deciding what engine 100% I want to be able to legally engineer it. And want it boosted. So that leaves me with up to 2,365cc turbo engine I can have legally. I have a 35/40 with 0.63 rear and a 50mm external gate sitting in my room ready for it lol. Been told 12a's are getting to hard to get parts for and to go a 13b. But can't legally have that turbocharged in the car. It still needs alot of work before it's ready for an engine to be put back in regardless. But would like to have 250-300rwkw in it :happy:

Yeah I recently heard that you can't get 12a rotor housings any more. Slightly worrying for anybody with a hypo 12a.

Given you can't go 13bt, maybe you should re-consider the NA ported 13b again!?

Yeah the 13bbp would be pretty fun. Was talking to Anthony at Maztech Melbourne. And he was trying totalk me into the 13bbp. Saying that would be a very quick car due to the light weight. Spose even then it'd be struggling for traction. Will see what happens when the time comes :happy: not saying what engine will be going in untill I actually have it and mounted lol.

 

Want to fit rack and pinion steering from a ke70. Get my spare vl diff shortened and adapted to suit the leaf springs. And coilovers in the front with vt commodore brake setup.

Now considering all engine options. Aim is 300rwkw. Prefer anything that will do it on a stock engine with just the bolt ons upgraded. And the lighter the engine the better. Everyone's opinions/thoughts will be greatly appreciated. And yes I am dead set wanting 300rwkw. I think my bp motor I have can just push that at it's limit. Mate is telling me to put a 1ggte. He reckons stick to Toyota as they are strong engines

called vicroads and the weight is 900kg in vic. leaving me 6kg short of being allowed a 1jzgte :) might call again tomorrow and see if they ment around 900 or 900 exact lol. stupid that its only 6kg from missing out :( not happy. yeah 3sgte and 1ggte are on the list as is rb20det. and 8kg shy of being allowed an rb25. wish is was 910 kg haha

would ya be doing any chassis strengthening coz ya will prob make up ya 6kg there which would let ya use a 1jzgte :hmm:
