anastasios Posted October 22, 2009 Report Posted October 22, 2009 (edited) you are talking about options that differ in budget greatly, it would be best to work out what you want the car for and how much time and money you have Edited October 22, 2009 by anastasios Quote
Sam_Q Posted October 22, 2009 Report Posted October 22, 2009 hey nice reply! anyway heres my take: to ask such a vauge question I assume your new to mechanicals right? well that being the case can I suggest maybe just an exhuast upgrade and some form of cold ait intake if you have a 4afe? Quote
carwashguru Posted October 22, 2009 Author Report Posted October 22, 2009 no not new to mechanics... more to the point looking at bang for buck .... if others have tried any of the options id like to hear about it and yes money will come into it ...... as will switching to an older rolla if i go down the path of rwd ... i guess I'm more looking to see the options vs what i can do my self .... i hope this helps some what ... would like to have something a little different but not at the price of a new car lol Quote
carwashguru Posted October 23, 2009 Author Report Posted October 23, 2009 (edited) 4a fe .... 223 kms but still strong ... if i use this motor with boost needless to say it will come out and have the time and coin spent on it.... other thought i have had would be a 1mz but thinking i might lack the room for it .... ? as for the rwd idea i know it would be a lot of work but i guess I'm hook on the shape of the car ..... the biggest issue with that idea is by the time i put a tunnel in for it will i get the seats back in so that they are not sitting to high Edited October 23, 2009 by carwashguru Quote
carwashguru Posted October 23, 2009 Author Report Posted October 23, 2009 as for what id like .... rwd v6 manual .... i think it would be one quick car and a hell of alot of fun to drive Quote

Roo Posted October 23, 2009 Report Posted October 23, 2009 4agze and be done with it, save rwd for a car designed for it unless you have 10k+ to spend Quote

Sam_Q Posted October 24, 2009 Report Posted October 24, 2009 and how much time would you be prepared to spend on it? The rear end fabrication would be a significantly bigger issue that the transmission tunnel. You would have to chop the floor out and remake the whole thing to probably fit a TA22 diff or something.
