67Rolla-Ken Posted October 15, 2009 Report Posted October 15, 2009 Just Googled, this is posted everywhere.... As a ford hating semi-holden man (if I'm forced to pick one of the 2 evils), this is fantastic! Quote
drc_ke20 Posted October 15, 2009 Report Posted October 15, 2009 If there is one thing I have learned about Terry is never doubt him. Amen brother! Quote
Axentrik Posted October 15, 2009 Report Posted October 15, 2009 (edited) this is true although i don't know why as ford are undeniably better cars. up until the VE, holden never even made their own commodore, it was cut and shut re-badged opels with an american dinosaur engine. taking large heavy cars and putting the biggest heaviest engine you can possibly find in them is not exactly good design philosophy. at least ford can keep with the times and upgrade to over head cams. ford also have the legendary mk1 and 2 escorts and the mk1 cortina. Holden (OR GM) never had anything in their league. Edited October 15, 2009 by Axentrik Quote

67Rolla-Ken Posted October 15, 2009 Report Posted October 15, 2009 Strongly disagree... but as I'm now a Toyota man, meh. Quote
Taz_Rx Posted October 15, 2009 Report Posted October 15, 2009 (edited) this is true although i don't know why as ford are undeniably better cars. Because Ford dropped their 888 sponsorship and Holden is happy to have them in their camp. Motor racing is expensive. Even for our premier class. Factory backing goes a long way...... just as the ARC guys! :jamie: Edited October 15, 2009 by Taz_Rx Quote
LukeAE71 Posted October 15, 2009 Report Posted October 15, 2009 I just think it's hilarious that Lowndes changed to Ford cos he had a lala that they wouldn't let him drive his Escort or Cortina or whatever it is. Now he is stuck back at Holden's  Suck a fat one you can't drive anyway :jamie: Quote
67Rolla-Ken Posted October 15, 2009 Report Posted October 15, 2009 Hard to say someone can't drive when they managed to win a race from the back of the grid without touching another car in the process... but yes he is a sook. Quote
Jason KE30 Posted October 15, 2009 Report Posted October 15, 2009 If there is one thing I have learned about Terry is never doubt him. Wasn't doubtin him, just wanted to know how he found out. Being a Ford man it's sad to see Lowndes and Whincup going to Holden. But the V8 supercars isn't about red vs blue anymore. It's all about the drivers. Did everyone notice that at Bathurst on the weekend they had the names of the drivers scrolling across the bottom of the screen and not whether they are Ford or Holden. Just goes to show that what brand they drive doesn't concern them. It's about time Holden won something anyway :jamie: Quote
