Do Any Other Engines Beside Toyota Engines Fit In Ae95 Wagons

hey i was just wondering if any other engines beside toyota engines fit in an ae95 wagon i have worked with other engines except toyota so I'm more comfortable swapping with different engine makes cheers

Anything is possible. Just a matter of how big your wallet is! :)

eg, Mate of mine has a Merc Vito van with an Evo 7 4G63, but he's now around $20K poorer.

 

As they have an A series motor, there is a couple of "bolt in" toyota options. There's a member here who put a 20v in his, have a search and you should find it.

 

Putting another make engine in is going to get expensive quick by the time you've sorted out gearboxes, drive shafts etc etc.

I can't really see how swapping engines altogether is going to be less arduous that just learning the ins and outs of a toyota engine.

i guess it also depends on where you want to put the engine.

 

a truck engine should fit in the back of wagon.

depends if your handy with a welder, or rich. then the world is your burrito or oyster.

 

whats so special about toyota engines? especially the engines we all play with. fuel in, bang, exhaust out.

If you've got a money tree the possibilities are endless.

 

The smart choice is 4AGZE or 20v if you want the least amount of hassles and the most bang for your buck.

 

KEB11N on Toymods has a GZE powered one. I saw his and found out more about them and bought mine and put a S/T 20v into it. Has been my daily driver and snow and back hack for almost 6 months now and hasn't missed a beat.

I'd recommend going and signing up with a few different sites (toymods, twincam.org etc) and searching searching searching.

righto I'm going to go with a 16v 4age what does it take to do a swap any things i should worry about etc

How much can i pick all the gear up engine loom ecu etc for

 

I don't have the knowledge to swap do you know anyone with the spare time to do the swap for cash

yeah but i don't want to spend like 2000 on a front cut its not really worth it i want 150-160 hp thats it i don't need it to be race spec maybe some cams ecu mods valve springs and headers should run nice

 

If anybody knows how to swap these engines and how to modify give me some info

 

or if anybody want to do a swap pm me asap
