towe001 Posted December 29, 2009 Report Posted December 29, 2009 Can't really help you all that much with the rims. http://www.outerlimits4x4.com/ might have a better idea But thats pretty nuts what you've done with the struts. Quote
4wdwgn Posted December 30, 2009 Author Report Posted December 30, 2009 been doing some serching, and found out that the early BMW 3 series are avaliable in 14" 4x100 PCD ET15, exactly what I'm after, just need to locate some and buy them.. Quote
Kebin[RL] Posted January 1, 2010 Report Posted January 1, 2010 2 thumbs up for the ae95 lift kit ideas! waiting for the action shots! :) Needs a bullbar and spotties next! Quote
rob83ke70 Posted January 1, 2010 Report Posted January 1, 2010 have you thought about fitting some slightly larger rolling diameter tyres? the subaru L series that I had a while ago had 13" wheels on it with 175/70r13 tyres, and a lot of the guys with the same car used to run 14x6" speedy sunraysia rims and 27" overall diameter tyres, lifting the whole thing up. Any larger than that and you would have to put a lift kit in it, these parts were readily available off the shelf though for the subaru :) Robert. Quote

Bamboo Posted January 2, 2010 Report Posted January 2, 2010 The 4wd/ 2wd had negative offset. Aim for any car with 0 offset (usually RWD). If possible get a hub from a car same as yours and do a trip around the local DIY wreckers. I guarantee you'll turn up some surprises. Hub size is usually the biggest issue. Quote
JedzWagn Posted November 14, 2010 Report Posted November 14, 2010 will the tacho dash from the seca's fit straight in? or will I need to make some mods to make it work? Straight swap mate. 4wdwgn & kebin - both you guys have done serious mod's to your suspension, how do you go with engineers & making it legal? Quote
Kebin[RL] Posted November 14, 2010 Report Posted November 14, 2010 4wdwgn & kebin - both you guys have done serious mod's to your suspension, how do you go with engineers & making it legal? Mine isnt at the stage where its ready for engineering ;) Quote
JedzWagn Posted November 19, 2010 Report Posted November 19, 2010 I was talking about your airbags - they would've required an engineers certificate yeah? Quote
JedzWagn Posted December 29, 2010 Report Posted December 29, 2010 4wdwgn Any chance of some more photo's with a breakdown of what you've done for each photo - What you did with the yellow dots showing the mod's you'd made was great. Would be really helpful if you could do something similar for the front end, showing the brackets you made up. Quote
