I've had them out without un-doing the manifold bolts before it just takes a shit load of moving around lol and trying different ways but it's possible to take it out. It's even harder to put back in though! LOL.

i spent 10 mins under there trying to get it out i gave up was givin me the shits and cut me hand open grr. lol

haha, you didn't give it a proper GO! :(

 

If you do take the manifold off, make sure you try keep your gaskets intact! Although you should be able to get it out! I managed... :P

One trick to make life a little easier is to undo the engine mount on the starter side and tilt the engine towards the drivers side of the car using an engine crane or if you are extremely careful, a jack underneath the engine.......

 

By rights you should be able to get it out without doing that though, a stock manifold is relatively easy to get around, it's extractors that can be a royal pain in the arse.......
