55LDE Posted October 6, 2009 Report Posted October 6, 2009 my diff in my ae71 with 4ac is pretty shagged and i found a ke70 manual diff will these bolt in the same and the brakes fit on from the ae diff? cheers steve-o Quote
SLO-030 Posted October 7, 2009 Report Posted October 7, 2009 Should Fit up alright but I'm not 100% on *E7* stuff. Diff internals may be different as the 4AC wouldve been or torquey/powerfull. Quote
drift_donkey Posted October 7, 2009 Report Posted October 7, 2009 sorry to hi jack your thread! lol but can somone post up the different diff ratios.(of the ae, ke) ive searched and only found different answers. and yes the diff will bolt in without any dramas! Quote
Victim Posted October 21, 2009 Report Posted October 21, 2009 The diff should be apples mate, in my limited knowledge of diffs. Keep in mind though, that the auto and manual one's have different ratios, but that won't prevent anything working. If anything, i've heard that people prefer the better accelaration and response from the auto diff compared to the manual one, but it's a small point and wouldn't really bother me either way if i was you. And the brake drums should bolt up good, as far as i can see... Although, i've only ever gone from drum to disc, not swapping drum across to drum. sorry to hi jack your thread! lol but can somone post up the different diff ratios.(of the ae, ke) ive searched and only found different answers. and yes the diff will bolt in without any dramas! Hey dude, not too sure about ratios for the KE, but for the AE the diff ratios are thus: Auto: 4.1 Manual: 3.9 Hope that helps... - Alex. Quote
LukeAE71 Posted October 27, 2009 Report Posted October 27, 2009 Tail shaft rear half will have to be KE. AE and KE tailshafts are different  Quote
