MR AKE70 Posted June 14, 2005 Report Posted June 14, 2005 is it a simple job of converting the ke71 to a ke70 by just replacing the panels, head lights and grill, or is there more involved structurely? Also who wants ke71 cloth seats front and rear??? Quote
Teddy Posted June 14, 2005 Report Posted June 14, 2005 Ke71 ? Are you talking about the early edition front end (ke70) to the later edition (Ke70 & Ae71) ? I THINK med man looked into this... ill let him comment. Quote
Super Jamie Posted June 14, 2005 Report Posted June 14, 2005 yes there is, i've seen at least two in the wreckers, and one driving around registered the chassis code isn't ke71 tho, that's just a term people use to describe the update front end Quote
rwdrolla Posted June 14, 2005 Report Posted June 14, 2005 ooh, bout those seats, where are u???? adelaide?? ? ? ? ? ? !!! ??? Quote
MR AKE70 Posted June 15, 2005 Author Report Posted June 15, 2005 yeah sorry i want to put the smaller head light and grill setup in the later model that has the bigger head lights. I'm in brisbane alexandra hills to be precise. Quote
Medicine_Man Posted June 15, 2005 Report Posted June 15, 2005 Simple answer, don't waste your time, keep your car the way it is or just get another car the shape you want. The bits don't just swap over from one to the other.. You will have to cut out and weld on the whole front radiator support to allow it to fit the AE71 shape front end. The difference between the early and late front ends. The bonnet Guards Front apron Radiator support Grille Front bumper bar Headlights Indicator Lights I think you will find there is no such thing as KE71 in australia, most likely that the difference on the firewall is KE70 as opposed to KE70E?
