KE70_supercharged Posted June 13, 2005 Report Posted June 13, 2005 Hi.. i finally found what 15 inch pursuits that have the same stud pattern as the KE70.. 4 nuts by 114.3, the hyundai elantra..i knew it was hiding somewhere btw anyone know what the actually colour is called that cover the holden pursuits?? :(( thanks for all your help on the topic before Quote
styler Posted June 13, 2005 Report Posted June 13, 2005 so the wheels are fwd then, the offset will not suit rwd, fwd offset is usually very positive, but you could use floating spacers - illegal though or bolt on spacers which may be illegal i dunno. Quote
KE70_supercharged Posted June 13, 2005 Author Report Posted June 13, 2005 yeh i was trying to find the offset of the elantra wheels no luck so far..should be all sweet..possibly you may need to use spacers...about them been illegal i didnt they were..i mean they are just spacers, Quote
Xany Posted June 13, 2005 Report Posted June 13, 2005 bolt on spacers are legal in QLD....not floating ones though... Quote
KE70_supercharged Posted June 13, 2005 Author Report Posted June 13, 2005 aah ok..well i dunno now, cuase the tyres are 195/50/15, low profiles and the cars lowered..into the guards, and i don't really want rubbing to occur.. Quote
styler Posted June 13, 2005 Report Posted June 13, 2005 (edited) ok so the bolt on ones are fine as mentioned, i got quoted about 400 for a full set. your original wheels were probably 13x5 with 70 profiles or something similar, so the 15's with low profile 50 rubber or around that combination will be the same size as your original wheels. only thing to watch is as rim size goes up so can the width in some cases, so as long as the wheel is going to fit nicely under the guard and has the correct offset for its width it will all work. if it is only just rubbing you can roll the guards all round for 50 a corner. try google hyundai elantra pcd offset etc to find more info Edited June 13, 2005 by styler Quote
Super Jamie Posted June 13, 2005 Report Posted June 13, 2005 considering excels use rwd offset, elantras may also use rwd offset. worth a try floating wheel spacers are illegal because they are unsafe. bolt on wheel spacers are legal with an engineering certificate you also need to have the change in wheel track within legal limits, and wheels within legal size, etc Quote
demuire Posted June 14, 2005 Report Posted June 14, 2005 Do excels use RWD offset? That's... interesting. That means any rims that fit on excels will fit on Corollas, in theory? Quote
Super Jamie Posted June 14, 2005 Report Posted June 14, 2005 excels have the exact same offset as rt104 coronas, as listed in the performance wheels application guide. you can put sigma 14s on an excel with no fouling (and it looks very funny) but as you know, brakes and other things come into it, so i wouldn't say EVERY wheel would fit, but most probably would Quote
demuire Posted June 14, 2005 Report Posted June 14, 2005 That is so cool, I should start browsing Excel forums for wheels for sale :(( Or better yet, sell some of my wheels to Excel owners :blinks: Quote
Super Jamie Posted June 14, 2005 Report Posted June 14, 2005 10 bucks to the first photo of an excel with hotwires Quote

NickZ Posted June 15, 2005 Report Posted June 15, 2005 I don't think a photoshop wheel chop should be counted... Real excel with real hotwires on it. Quote
